About Nathan Bruns

Nathan Bruns is an associate attorney with the Firm. He practices in the areas of land use litigation, municipal law, real estate and outside general counsel services.

Nathan advises municipal clients on day-to-day matters ranging from compliance with state and federal law, to contracting, legislation drafting, municipal governance, and zoning. He participates in public hearings, work sessions, administrative hearings, and zoning and board meetings where he provides legal guidance to clients on procedural and substantive questions. He represents municipal clients who are defending state and federal claims, attorney general complaints, and federal regulatory complaints.

Nathan leverages his experience working with municipal clients to assist developers and business owners with land use disputes and working through governmental processes. He also regularly works with businesses and business owners on transactional matters ranging from routine review and drafting of contracts to real estate acquisitions, mergers, and regulatory compliance. Nathan litigates business matters for these same clients.

Nathan regularly works with police officers and departments on matters related to employment and the Law Enforcement Officer Bill of Rights. He also prepares and gives presentations at the Eastern Missouri Police Academy. Nathan serves as an assistant municipal prosecuting attorney where he regularly works with law enforcement.
